All should be held to same standard
So, not being a lawyer, the question I wish to ask is, all you have to do as U.S. Attorney General (Jeff Sessions) is recuse yourself from an investigation on the “Russian Thing” and not worry about the fact that you lied (colored the facts) to the U.S. Congress after taking an oath on the The Bible to “tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth”?
This is OK? What is this telling our children? To me, it is saying that the oath meant nothing as long as you are not a normal, everyday American. But if you are a “somebody,” like a U.S. Attorney General, it’s OK.
So, what is the penalty for perjury? Are there no consequences for this? If I lied to Congress, what would be done to me?
What is going on in Washington D.C.? Can these people just change the laws of the land to suit themselves? Come on America, don’t let this happen.
Thank you to the media, (newspapers, radio, TV, etc.) for letting the American people know what is going on and giving an opportunity to voice our opinion without recrimination. That is supposed to be the right of all Americans.
