On Oprah as president, hiring and individual rights
So, some big-wig Democrats are giddy at the thought of Oprah running for President in 2020? My God, people! All she did was give an impassioned speech! That doesn't mean she knows squat about foreign affairs, domestic economy, or ANYTHING that a good president should know.
She is an actress, among other things, and that's what they do. They pretend to be people they'd never would be in real life. I don't doubt she truly felt every word she spoke, but that ain't what makes this country hum.
The CMSD is looking to hire a new superintendent and they hired a new SPED head. OK. Those hiring and those hired need to leave politics out of their jobs and do what's right and best for those whom they serve, the children in their schools/classes. Forget about race, gender, and everything else personal and do your jobs to the best of your ability.
The Supreme Court has let a lower Federal Court decision stand, concerning the rights of LGBT people, a decided minority, though vocal, against the rights of millions of others.
Look, I believe everybody has the same rights. There are no special rights for gays or anybody else. If a business does not want your business (dollars) for any reason, there are plenty of other businesses who do. Go elsewhere, or start your own business catering to people like yourself AND others.
This ain't rocket science, people. It's common sense. If I owned a bakery or whatever, and two guys who wanted to get married came to me for a cake, I'd bake it. It's up to God to judge them and ME. More lawmakers and business people alike need to stop worrying about what others think of them and do what's right by the Bible.
