Frustrated with conservative policies
Couldn’t help but read yet another conservative ponder about liberal ideas and feel I must comment. This person did agree that young people are leaving the state but just couldn’t connect the dots that it just might be the backwards thinking that engulfs the state, especially evident in our present leadership. We are 50th in most every category that is important and have pretty much always been, but I see very little effort from the state Legislature and governor to do anything about it. Oh but mention removing a confederate monument and then you will get immediate action. This example alone tells the progressive youth that the state is mired in the past with no hope of change anytime soon. Our people keep voting against their best interest because they are convinced a Democrat is going to take away their guns when all the while their social security is on the chopping block with the party they vote in office. In other words, the party they vote for isn’t trying to help them financially – only the big donors. That is exactly what the right-wing wants — to use fear mongering to keep things just as they always have been.
