What’s going on?
Late term up to the ninth month abortions approved in New York and possibility Virginia; the removal of “So help me God” from swearing in oaths; making the comment “Make America Great Again” a racist remark; confusing your gender at birth; creation of an anti-police climate that makes law enforcement an evil thing and the cops the bad guys.
I think being politically correct has run off the rails. What’s going on?
Our motto at the church I attend is “Love God, Love people.” The golden rule of days ago, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you,” is not used much today. There are people doing good things today, but based on today’s news, that group is dwindling or not getting the recognition they deserve.
I have a hard time believing there are not more good, hard working people out there, that just want to provide for their family, look out for their neighbors and want America to be great. We have a “it is what it is” mentality. I will say it is what we make of it. Changing the status quo takes getting involved and speaking up.
I am a news junkie, but have grown tired of the “talking heads” telling me what to think. There are a few common sense journalists, but mostly it is them opining their opinions. I can think for myself and don’t like to be told how to think. There is more hate baiting out there and very little journalism today.
If we listen to the “left” today, those at the top of the income scale are responsible for most of our problems. News flash, the wealthy create the jobs. Except for the time I was self employed, I always worked for someone with more money than I had. They created the job I had, which I was thankful for. Hard work pays good dividends most of the time.
Capitalism works, socialism doesn’t. Capitalism creates jobs, socialism doesn’t. 304,00 jobs created in January, not bad when the government was shut down for three weeks. I like to work for my money and keep as much as I can, rather than give it to the socialist so it can be given away. But that’s me.
Let’s work together to make America great.
God Bless America!
