Is it ethical for a Lowndes County Schools employee who happens to be a candidate for superintendent to use the school districts database for political purposes? I received an automated call at 8 o”clock Thursday night with the voice of this candidate, who repeated her name several times. We”ve had a child in the district for five years, and we”ve never received a call like this. Oh yea, this is an election year. The message was nothing more than a cheap way to use the Lowndes County Schools resources to score airtime. If this kind of tactic is ethical, I guess I”ll just have to call it just plain tacky!
