STARKVILLE — Starkville police Thursday arrested a 21-year-old man in connection with five auto burglaries near Lynn Lane.
Joshua Michael Moore, of 205 Lynn Lane Apt. 2B, confessed to the burglaries after officers from the Starkville Police Department responded Thursday to Camden Place off Louisville Street. According to a SPD release, witnesses to the burglaries, all of which occurred after 1 a.m., identified Moore as the burglar. Moore was identified by officers by the “Star of David” tattoo under his right eye. The “Star of David” is associated with the Simon City Royals, a predominately caucasian street gang.
Moore was arrested at his home without incident. He is currently being held at Oktibbeha County Jail on five counts of auto burglary. His bond is $15,000.
Moore already was on probation for stealing a car in 2011, when the 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe he stole from the Cotton District was recovered at McKee Park with the help of On-Star navigation.
