Caledonia voters Tuesday will choose mayor, Board of Aldermen

CALEDONIA -- Voters Tuesday will have a chance to cast their ballots for a pair of mayoral candidates and 10 residents who have qualified for the town''s Board of Aldermen. 

 


Between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Tuesday, Caledonia voters can cast votes for mayoral candidates George Gerhart, a former Caledonia mayor, or incumbent Bill Lawrence. 

 


Ten Board of Aldermen candidates also are jockeying for spots on Caledonia''s five-member Board of Aldermen. Candidates include Ken Byars, incumbent Vice Mayor Bill Darnell, Terry Farrish, William Sam Darnell and Steve Honnoll. 

 


Other Board of Aldermen candidates include Quinn Parham, Caledonia Parks Director Mike Savage, former Caledonia Deputy Marshal Larry Swearingen, Matthew West and incumbent Brenda Willis. 

 


All candidates for the Caledonia municipal elections are running at-large and are claiming no party affiliation.  

 


All Caledonia voting will take place at the Town Hall near the intersection of Wolfe Road and Main Street.  

 


Members elected during Tuesday''s race will be sworn in during the Board of Aldermen''s July 7 meeting and will serve until 2013.
