WEST POINT – Two championship-caliber defenses went at it Friday night at West Point High School’s McCallister Field.
In the end, the Noxubee County defense stood tallest. The unbeaten Tigers made a goal-line stand in the closing seconds to preserve a 6-0 win against West Point.
The teams combined for 17 first downs and 204 total yards.
A 43-yard touchdown run by Darrell Robinson in the second quarter was the only score.
