The Downtown Branch of the Frank P. Phillips YMCA will host a community Health Fair Wednesday, Sept. 26, from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at its facility at 602 Second Avenue N.
Services provided during the health fair include:
n Information on preventive health education and foundational nutritional requirements
n Free screenings, including blood pressure, blood sugar, bone density, body mass
n Information concerning chiropractic services and massage therapy
n Glaucoma, visual acuity testing
n Insurance guides
The goal of the event, which is free and open to the public, is to provide those who attend with information to help establish a healthier lifestyle.
Among the participants are Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle, CONTACT Helpline, Linda Warnat-CMT, Saum Chiropractic, Galloway-Chandler-McKinney, Robert’s Apothecary, East Columbus Lions Club, Humana and the YMCA.
