STARKVILLE – The Mississippi Highway Patrol is encouraging citizens to come to the Starkville Substation tomorrow and donate blood.
United Blood Services will be at the station on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in an effort to replenish blood for retired trooper Reggie Berry.
Berry is a retired trooper out of Troop G in Starkville and is currently battling cancer.
Public Affairs Officer Corporal Chris Turnipseed encouraged people to donate blood saying, “Blood is in high demand and there’s not nearly enough.”
He added “If it was your family member, you would hope people would help by donating blood. It’s important to give life back. “
