Two Columbus women were arrested after they got into an altercation near a local pumpkin patch.
Tiffany Dawn McKay, 32, and Lynsey Marie Wilson, 29, were arrested last week after they allegedly harassed and tried to inflict harm on the father of McKay's child.
According to sources familiar with the investigation, the father took the child to Colson's Pumpkin Patch in Caledonia without McKay's permission.
When McKay learned of the child's whereabouts, she and Wilson followed the child's father's vehicle until they came to Spruill Road and North Ridge Road, not far from the pumpkin patch. McKay then allegedly began beating the father's vehicle with a baseball bat while Wilson rammed her vehicle into the victim's vehicle. The two left the scene and a warrant was issued for the arrest of McKay and Wilson. Other than a few scratches and bruises, no one was seriously injured in the incident.
McKay was arrested and charged with felony malicious mischief. Her bond was set at $5,000.
Wilson was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, manifest extreme indifference to life. Her bond was set at $10,000.
Wilson and McKay each have a court date for Feb. 10, 2014.
