Two members of the Caledonia homecoming court are at risk of losing their titles after they got into a fistfight on the sidelines of a football game Friday night.
The girls, who are both Caledonia High School cheerleaders and members of the homecoming court, were cheering on the sidelines Friday night when the two got into a argument. According to witnesses, the argument quickly turned physical and the two girls had to be pulled apart.
Lowndes County School officials said the incident is under investigation. The Lowndes County School District has a zero tolerance policy regarding violence. In order to be nominated for the Homecoming Court, a student must have an exemplary record. If the investigation concludes both girls are to blame for Friday night's incident, they could be suspended and subsequently lose their crowns. Caledonia's homecoming is Friday.
Since the girls are minors, their names are not being released.
