Retail businesses in downtown Columbus will host an annual Christmas Open House Thursday, Nov. 7 through Sunday, Nov. 10, announced Main Street Columbus director Barbara Bigelow.
“You’ll find yourself in the holiday spirit as you walk through the historic downtown to begin your holiday gift-buying,” said Bigelow.
The event will preview on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. and continue Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.
The annual Christmas Open House is an exciting and unique opportunity for downtown stores and businesses to showcase products including great food, clothing, gifts, jewelry, art and more, said Bigelow.
Many participating businesses will boast window displays that will be judged by a secret team of local residents. Winners will be announced Nov. 13.
The Open House begins the season of holiday events for Main Street Columbus. It will be followed by the Holiday Farmers’ Market Nov. 23, Wassail Fest and the Lighting of the City Christmas Tree Dec. 6, and the Columbus Christmas Parade Dec. 14.
