The Columbus Art Council''s annual Starving Artist Show will be held Nov. 8 through the month of December at the Rosenzweig Arts Center, 501 Main St. This popular, eclectic show features a compilation of artwork from area artists and is an opportunity for non-resident artists of the RAC to showcase their work.

This year''s theme is "Wearable Art," and may be expressed in any medium of the artist''s choice.

Submitted pieces do not have to be literally "wearable." Gallery Committee Chair Ralph Null encourages artists to free their imaginations.

Each artist may submit up to three pieces of work. However, any artist who works in several mediums may submit three pieces in each medium. The maximum selling price for each piece can be no more than $300; a commission from each piece sold will go to the arts center.

The RAC must approve each piece before it is accepted for the show, and approval is for this show only. Artists interested in showing work in the gallery on a regular basis are invited to pick up an application from the Arts Center.
