The Columbus Exchange Club has launched its Wisconsin cheese and summer sausage sale fundraiser. All proceeds will be donated to qualifying non-profit organizations in Lowndes County who provide for the children of the community.
There are several opportunities to purchase the cheese and sausage. Exchange Club members will be set up at the east entrance to Belk on Highway 45 North on Saturday, Nov. 23, and on Black Friday, Nov. 29, from 8 a.m. until noon. They will also be at that location every Saturday in December until Dec. 21 from 8 a.m.-noon. The club will also sell the items during Columbus’ Downtown Wassail Fest Friday, Dec. 6, from 5-8 p.m.
Mild, sharp and extra sharp cheddar cheeses are $12 per 2-pound block. Pepper jack cheese and summer sausage are $6 per 12-ounce package.
Exchange Club is an all-volunteer, national service organization for men and women who want to serve their community, develop leadership skills and enjoy new friendships. Club programs of service include Americanism, Child Abuse Prevention, Youth Projects and Community Service.
Exchange is made of nearly 800 clubs and more than 25,000 members throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.
