Shondolyn Richardson and Reba Phillips have achieved National Board Certification. Both Richardson and Phillips earned their certification in the area of Literacy: Reading-Language Arts/Early and Middle Childhood.
Richardson is the daughter of Earsley and Bettye Young of Yazoo City, MS. She is married to Michael Richardson of Columbus, MS. She is a graduate of Mississippi University for Women where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education in 1999 and her Master of Education degree in reading/literacy in 2005. She has been teaching for 14 years and currently serves as a Reading Interventionist for Columbus Municipal School District’s CEIS Reading program which is housed at Cook Elementary Fine Arts Magnet School.
Phillips is the daughter of James and Lena Granderson and the wife of Lamarcus Phillips, all of Columbus, MS. Phillips is a graduate of Alcorn State University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education in 2006. In 2009, she graduated from Mississippi University for Women where she received her Master of Education degree in reading/literacy. She has been teaching for 8 years and currently serves as a 3rd grade teacher at Cook Elementary Fine Arts Magnet School.
