Clay County Circuit Court convened Oct. 5 with Judge Lee Howard presiding. Action taken by the court included: 

 

 

 

Judge James Kitchens presiding: 

 

  • Ray Lee Robinson''s suspended sentence following a conviction for sale of cocaine was revoked. Robinson was sentenced to five years in MDOC. 

     

  • Cody Hollingsworth''s suspended sentence following a conviction for aggravated assault was revoked. Hollingsworth was sentenced to five years in MDOC. 

     

  • Jason Doss pleaded guilty to grand larceny. Doss was sentenced to 10 years in MDOC, all suspended, and five years probation. 

     

  • Rashell Hogan pleaded guilty to food stamp fraud. Hogan was sentenced to three years probation and ordered to pay $4,499 in fines and restitution. 

     

  • Shaketha Berry pleaded guilty to embezzlement. Berry was sentenced to 10 years in MDOC, all suspended, five years probation and ordered to pay $1,850 in fines and restitution. 

     

  • Jimmy Roby''s post-release supervision following a conviction for sale of cocaine was revoked. Roby was sentenced to five years in MDOC. 

     

  • Carol Eaton pleaded guilty to two counts of uttering forgery. Eaton was sentenced to 10 years in MDOC, all suspended, five years probation and ordered to pay $4,134 in fines and restitution. 

     

    n Herman Gene McGee pleaded guilty to escape. McGee was sentenced to four years in MDOC and one year post-release supervision. 

     

  • Timothy Ray Johnson pleaded guilty to non-support of a child. Johnson was sentenced to five years probation and ordered to pay $20,000 in fines and restitution. 

     

  • Tyree Cox pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine. Cox was sentenced to eight years in MDOC, all suspended, and five years probation. 

     

  • Merrice Dewayne Griffin pleaded guilty to aggravated assault. Griffin was sentenced to 10 years in MDOC, all suspended, five years probation and ordered to pay $2,557 in fines and restitution. 

     

  • Javon Brown pleaded guilty to burglary of a building, burglary of an auto and grand larceny. Brown was sentenced to four years in MDOC, five years probation and ordered to pay $1,500 in fines and restitution. 

     

  • Courtney Blair''s post-release supervision for possession of cocaine was revoked and Blair pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine between 2-10 grams. Blair was sentenced to nine years in MDOC and five years post-release supervision. 

     

  • Kenneth Cousins pleaded guilty to burglary of a dwelling. Cousins was sentenced to five years in MDOC and five years probation. 

     

  • Tabitha Hernandez pleaded guilty to transfer of a forged prescription. Hernandez was sentenced to five years in MDOC, all suspended, and five years probation. 

     

  • Gena Stafford pleaded guilty to felony shoplifting. Stafford was sentenced to two years in MDOC and three years post-release supervision. 

     

  • Quincy Hughes violated his probation following a conviction for two counts burglary of a business. Hughes was sentenced to 14 years in MDOC. 

     

  • Angel Neely pleaded guilty to burglary of a dwelling. Neely was sentenced to three years in MDOC and five years post-release supervision. 

     

  • Deontha White pleaded guilty to possession of a weapon by a felon. White was sentenced to one year in MDOC and four years post-release supervision. 

     

  • Christopher Lee Smith pleaded guilty to DUI-third offense. Smith was sentenced to two years in MDOC, three years post-release supervision and fined $2,000. 

     

  • Sylvia Smith pleaded guilty to identity theft. Smith was sentenced to two years in MDOC, five years post-release supervision and ordered to pay $3,22 in fines and restitution. 

     

    n Terry Walker''s post-release supervision following a conviction for burglary of a business was revoked. Walker was sentenced to five years in MDOC. 

     

  • Jerrelle Webber pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine between 10-30 grams. Webber was sentenced to 12 years in MDOC and five years post-release supervision. 

     

  • James Morton Jr. pleaded guilty to two counts of DUI-third offense. Morton was sentenced to 13 years in MDOC. 

     

  • Vickie Gibbs pleaded guilty to embezzlement. Gibbs was sentenced to three years house arrest and five years probation. 

     

  • Artay Collins pleaded guilty to sale of cocaine. Collins was sentenced to 12 years in MDOC, five years post-release supervision and fined $1,000. 

     

  • William Clemmons pleaded guilty to aggravated assault. Clemmons was sentenced to 16 years in MDOC and five years post-release supervision.
