The Life Choices Pregnancy Care Center will host its annual Walk for Life fundraiser Nov. 7 at Propst Park in Columbus. This year''s event features a walk/run option.

The walk, 5K and 10K, will begin and end at the train station pavilion. Walkers will leave after runners have left the start.

Registration for this event is $25 per person. Donations are welcome, too, from those who choose not to walk or run. Pre-register by contacting Life Choices at 662-327-0500 or register the day of the event. Race day registration will begin at 7:15 a.m.

Although no awards will be given, times will be tabulated and winners announced. There will also be additional family activities going on during the races, and refreshments will be available.

All proceeds benefit Life Choices Pregnancy Care Center, a non-profit organization which seeks to minister to individuals experiencing an unexpected pregnancy. Services include free pregnancy tests, peer counseling, abstinence education, sexually transmitted disease education, post-abortion support and other practical helps in a confidential, Christian environment.

The agency serves the Golden Triangle area through two centers, one located in Columbus and one in Starkville.

Donations can be made to support the centers at www.firstgiving.com/lifechoicesms.
