A Columbus man convicted last week of two counts of aggravated assault was sentenced Monday to serve 32 years in prison.
Joel Dudley Jones, 23, of 413 Springdale Dr., was sentenced in Lowndes County Circuit Court Monday to 20 years for each conviction. He received eight years suspended on one of the convictions.
Jones was convicted Friday of a June 2012 shotgun shooting on Ash Street. Two men, Tamarcus Thomas and Zachariah Johnson, were injured in the incident. Johnson suffered multiple gunshot wounds and is blind as a result.
