Based on a winter storm warning that predicts accumulations of snow and ice, Mississippi State will be closed today. MSU Meridian also is closed Thursday and will provide updates on its Web site.
No classes will meet today, and administrative offices will not open. An 8 p.m. basketball game Thursday night will continue as planned.
Essential personnel should report as scheduled Thursday or check with supervisors if in doubt.
Decisions about Friday will be made by 5 p.m. Thursday, based on later weather assessments. Please monitor the MSU Web site and local media outlets for updates.
Driving conditions Thursday are expected to be treacherous. Students on campus are urged not to use their vehicles. Depending on conditions, some campus roadways may be closed.
The following campus outlets will be open:
-The Sanderson Center ,11 a.m.-7 p.m.
-The Marketplace at Perry, 7 a.m.-9 p.m.
– Burger King, 7 a.m.-1 a.m.
– Longest Student Health Center, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Colvard Student Union will not be open.
