Sixteenth District Circuit judges James Kitchens and Lee Howard handed down the following sentences in these cases decided during the extended session of the February term of Lowndes County Circuit Court:
n Britney Suddith of 190 Wright Ave. N.W. in Vernon, Ala., pleaded guilty to a charge of possession of pseudoephedrine, more than 15 grams. Kitchens sentenced Suddith to five years with the Mississippi Department of Corrections, including one year of house arrest and four years probation.
- Reginald Mitchell of 10933 Nashville Ferry Road in Columbus pleaded guilty to burglary of an automobile. Kitchens sentenced Mitchell to serve four years with the MDOC, then three years probation.
- Dawn Cassady of 2413 Fifth Ave. S. in Columbus pleaded guilty to one of two counts of sale of cocaine. Howard sentenced Cassady to 15 years with the MDOC, then five years probation. Cassady was also ordered to pay fines and costs totaling $5,125.
- Dennis J. Evans of 1124 15th St. N. in Columbus pleaded guilty to possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. Howard sentenced Kitchens to serve five years with the MDOC to run concurrent with an aggravated assault charge. Evans pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and was sentenced by Howard to serve 20 years with the MDOC with 15 suspended with five years supervised probation.
- Sean P. Dusenberry of 112 Savannah St. in Columbus pleaded guilty to false pretense, and was sentenced by Howard to one year with the MDOC and two years probation.
- Charod Vonshay Alexander of 575 Philadelphia Road in DeKalb, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence-third offense, and was sentenced by Kitchens to one year of house arrest and four years probation.
- Tyree Sparks of 806 Eighth St. S. in Columbus, pleaded guilty to burglary of a dwelling. Kitchens sentenced Sparks to three years with the MDOC then five years supervised probation.
- Demarli Nash of 35 Maderia Drive in Columbus pleaded guilty to possession of hydrocodine. Kitchens sentenced Nash to 10 years with MDOC, including one year of house arrest and five years probation.
