The Twisted Burger Company in Columbus is opening a new location in West Point.
Before moving to Columbus, Twisted Burger was originally located on Main Street in West Point. Now the restaurant is returning to West Point in the former CJ’s location in the Mossy Oak mall.
Twisted Burger first opened in July 2012. It later announced a move to Columbus in November 2015, with a promise to return to West Point when the opportunity presented itself.
The eatery’s Columbus location at 78 Brickerton St. will remain open.
Also in West Point, HOPE Credit Union has opened a new branch at 470 Commerce St.
A ribbon-cutting will be held for the new location on Friday, and HOPE will host a community fair on Saturday. The location formerly housed B&W Mississippi Employees Federal Credit Union. B&W merged with HOPE earlier this year.
HOPE Credit Union was founded in 1995 by Anderson United Methodist Church in Jackson.
In Columbus, Dr. David Curtis’ Pediatric Dentistry clinic has added Dr. Katie Curtis-Windham, Dr. Curtis’ daughter, to its roster.
Pediatric Dentistry in Columbus, owned by David Curtis, recently took on the new dentist and expanded with a new office in Corinth.
Curtis-Windham joined the practice following her completion of pediatric specialty training at the University of Texas. Previously, David’s son, Kennon Curtis, also followed his father’s footsteps into opening a pediatric dentistry office in Madison, Alabama.
“I’m excited both as a father to have Katie joining me at the practice, and as a local businessman to be keeping local talent local,” David said regarding his daughter’s new employment.
David Curtis has operated his practice for 29 years. Many of the clinic’s current clients are the children and grandchildren of former clientele.
“Getting to treat the children of the kids dad treated makes it feel like treating family,” Windham said about the current clients.
The Columbus office is open from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Thursday.
