A unique show that brings secrets to light and has led audiences across the country to both laughter and tears will be at Mississippi State Monday.
“PostSecret: The Show” is an immersive, poignant journey through the humor and humanity of the personal stories people keep to themselves, and on rare occasions, share with others. The program takes place Monday at 7 p.m. in Bettersworth Auditorium of historic Lee Hall. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The event is free to all, with seating available on a first-come, first-served basis.
MSU’s Center for Student Activities is sponsoring the special event in conjunction with the Office of Health Promotion and Wellness, Student Counseling Services and the Holmes Cultural Diversity Center. Sponsoring organizations hope to draw attention to the multitude of resources available to students and the community in regards to physical and mental wellness.
Projected images, videos, three actors and a guitarist guide the audience through crowd-sourced narratives revealing the true stories behind secrets. See the hopeful, shocking, painful and sexual secrets that brought hundreds of millions to the PostSecret blog, became six best-selling books and are currently in a Smithsonian art exhibition.
