Zachary’s Restaurant of Columbus has won the 2018 Restaurant Neighbor Award, sponsored by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation. This prestigious national award honors restaurants that go above and beyond in community service and philanthropy and aims to inspire other restaurateurs to get or stay involved in their local communities. Zachary’s will go on to compete with other state winners across the country for the national award. Three national winners will receive a $10,000 award to help support its favorite charity or community project.
In the past year, Zachary’s has raised more than $51,000 for local and national causes. These causes range from hurricane relief and breast cancer awareness to local nonprofits like the humane society and helping people through personal tragedies. The restaurant also donated nearly $8,000 in food to organizations sponsoring charitable events.
