Officers not above the law
This is not meant for all law enforcement officers, just a few bad apples. When you are hired to enforce the laws without bias or prejudice, you are held to a higher standard than the average “citizen” on the street. We expect more from you because of your chosen profession. Going to a neighboring town to drive around drunk or to solicit under-aged girls for sexual purposes, is simply not acceptable. Than uniform, badge, and gun do not give you immunity from the very laws you have sworn to enforce, so why in the world do you think you can get away with doing so? Everybody, accused police officers included, is considered innocent until proven guilty, but still it is a stain upon others in your profession to even be accused. I sincerely hope these officers who were recently accused of wrong-doing are found to be not guilty and that the public trust is restored in the police department of Columbus.
