JACKSON — Mississippi Economic Development Council (MEDC) announces Board of Directors for the 2018-2019 year.
Brenda H. Lathan, Senior Vice President of the Golden Triangle Development Link, has been appointed to the MEDC Board of Directors as a Member At-Large.
Lathan is a 19-year veteran economic developer in the Golden Triangle. Beginning as an administrative assistant, Lathan has advanced her career through the organization, holding numerous positions. As one of only a handful of Mississippians holding the Certified Economic Developer designation, Lathan has been instrumental in providing the Golden Triangle with numerous industrial locations and expansions. Lathan also manages the Lowndes County Industrial Development Authority.
MEDC is a professional association of economic development, chambers and associated stakeholders who work together to advance the profession and to advance economic development efforts in Mississippi through advocacy, collaboration, education and by providing resources to its members. MEDC is the voice of the economic development profession in the state.
