Life Choices Pregnancy Care Center has announced that Pam Tebow, mother of Heisman Trophy winner and Denver Broncos draft pick Tim Tebow, will be the keynote speaker at a fundraising banquet Sept. 16 in Starkville.

The event at the First Baptist Church Outreach Center, located at the corner of Lampkin and Jackson Streets, will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $35 per person and include a tailgating themed dinner. Tickets will be on sale at Life Choices Pregnancy Care Center, 1204 Second Ave. N., in Columbus, and at the office of First Baptist Church in Starkville.

The daughter of an Army colonel, Pam Tebow lived all over the world until she was 17, when she entered the University of Florida, where she graduated cum laude with a degree in journalism and communications. In college, she met her husband, Bob; they have been married for 36 years and have five children ranging in age from 20 to 31.

The Tebows lived for a number of years as missionaries in the Philippines, where Bob continues to have an ongoing ministry.

The family has been in the media spotlight, especially since their youngest son, Tim, won the Heisman. Because ESPN aired the portion of an interview with Pam that focused on her refusal to abort Tim when she was advised to do so, she has been cast onto the national stage with a pro-life message.

Corporate table sponsorships are available. Gold sponsors may purchase a table for $1,000. Silver sponsorships are $800, and bronze sponsorships are $500. Each level receives eight tickets.
