A Caledonia man will stay behind bars until his drug trial is heard in November, after allegedly intimidating a witness in the case.
Dana J. Studdard, 44, of 631 West-brook Road in Caledonia, was arrested Friday by the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics at the home of a witness in an upcoming court case against him for two felonies: manufacturing marijuana and the possession of methamphetamine with the intent to distribute.
Narcotics Officer David Criddle would not elaborate on the details of how Studdard intimidated the witness, but he said the victim was not injured. Studdard is being held without bail until his court date, which is Nov. 8. The charge carries a maximum of two years in prison or a $500 fine.
Studdard was previously arrested for selling a controlled substance on Aug. 3.
