Bell scored on a 20-yard run in the first quarter and Patterson rushed for a 28-yard score to help the Wolverines (8-0, 2-0 region) build a 21-0 lead after the first quarter.

n Madison-Ridgeland Academy 45, Starkville Academy 13: At Madison, The Patriots (4-3) built a 24-0 lead early in the second quarter and cruised to their Mississippi Association of Independent Schools Class AAA victory.
Drew Pellum scored on a 72-yard run in the second quarter and Will White added the extra point to cut the deficit to 24-7. But Madison-Ridgeland Academy scored two more touchdowns before halftime to pull away.
Matt Ward scored on a 2-yard run in the third quarter for the Volunteers” other touchdown.
Kyle Henson rushed for 114 yards on 16 carries, while Pellum”s touchdown run accounted for his rushing total. The Volunteers (1-7) didn”t complete a pass.

James Mapp, Adam Crittenden, Ryan McKell, and Zach Slaughter each had six solo tackles. Crittenden had three tackles for loss.
n Manchester Academy 32, Oak Hill Academy 20: At Yazoo City, Phillip Liu, Doss Miller, and Bo Sanford scored touchdowns for the Raiders (2-6, 1-1 MAIS Class AA, District 2) matchup.
The loss prevented the Raiders from clinching a playoff spot. They already have a win against Carroll Academy. Friday”s result sets up a winner-take-all game Oct. 29 at Winston Academy to decide which two teams will come out of the district and advance to the playoffs.
“It was our worst game of the year,” Oak Hill Academy coach Leroy Gregg said. “We didn”t tackle very well. That is the funny thing. We work hard on tackling during the week, and a lot of times the things we work on and that we think we have made great strides on during the week fail to show up on Friday nights. This Friday night was certainly a lot of truth in that statement. We had very, very poor focus in the most important game of the year. We win that game we are in the playoffs regardless of what happens the remainder of the season.”
Gregg challenged his players to recognize the opportunity that is in front of them and to play with focus and up to their potential so they can get back to the postseason.
Liu scored on a 75-yard run that helped cut the deficit to 9-7. Oak Hill Academy had first-and-goal at the Manchester Academy 5 but a fumble and a 95-yard return for a touchdown swung the momentum.
The Raiders cut the deficit to 17-14 at halftime thanks to a 3-yard score by Miller. Reid Posey had both extra points.
But the Mavericks (1-6, 1-1), who scored the most points in a game this season, converted a fourth-and-22 on a throw to score again in the second half.
The Raiders also allowed another safety following a Jeb Stevens interception gave the team the ball on the 1-inch line. Oak Hill Academy couldn”t move the ball out of the end zone on the next play.
Sanford”s 6-yard touchdown run accounted for the Raiders” scoring.
n Carroll Academy 47, Hebron Christian 6: At Carrollton, The Rebels (4-3) built a 34-0 halftime lead en route to their non-region victory.
Will Corbin Rogers scored on a 50-yard run in the fourth quarter for the Eagles (1-6), who will play a key Class A, District 3 game Friday at Immanuel Christian.
n Louisville 8, Kosciusko 6: At Kosciusko, C.J. Bates caught a 28-yard touchdown pass from Tahj Ford in the second quarter to help the Wildcats (5-3, 2-0 Class 4A, Region 4) win their fourth game in a row.
Ford had the two-point conversion run that proved to be the game”s winning points. Kosciusko scored in the third quarter.
n Central Academy 38, North Sunflower Academy 26: At Macon, The Vikings (8-0, 4-0 MAIS Class A, District 3) built a 22-0 lead in the first quarter and then held on to extend what is believed to be the longest winning streak to start a season in school history.
Rowdy Rigdon caught a 29-yard pass from Ferris McGuire to open the scoring. Cole Newman added the conversion run. McGuire scored on a 3-yard run and then connected with Britt Reynolds for a 20-yard touchdown pass. Newman”s conversion run on the second scored helped make it 22-0.
“We jumped out last night and kind of had a letdown,” Central Academy coach Ronnie Sciple said. “We shell-shocked them pretty quick jumping out 22-0. But they are a good ballteam and they fought right back.”
North Sunflower Academy (3-3, 2-2) cut the deficit to 30-20 thanks to a blocked punt returned for a touchdown. But the Vikings answered with a hook and ladder touchdown play that included a 7-yard pass from McGuire to Rigdon and a 35-yard run by Disbrow, who also added the conversion run.
Both teams had scoring chances in the second half, including one fumble by Central Academy inside the North Sunflower Academy 20, but the Vikings used their running game to control the clock.
Newman led the way with 15 carries for 118 yards. Disbrow had nine carries for 73 yards, McGuire had 15 carries for 72 yards, and Jay Jones had eight carries for 41 yards.
“Our offensive line blocked tremendously,” Sciple said. “It probably wasn”t the best (game they have played this season), but they played a great game.”
McGuire was 7 of 10 for 122 yards.
Drew Pearson had eight tackles (combined) and forced three fumbles, Newman and Disbrow had seven tackles, Rigdon and Cody Brown each had six tackles. McGuire and Disbrow had fumble recoveries, and Newman recovered and onside kick and interception.
Central Academy is off next week. Sciple hopes the team will use that time to get junior offensive lineman Redmon Butler back from an injury he suffered earlier in the season.
The Vikings will close the regular season with games at Calvary Christian and Kemper Academy.
