Young classical guitarist Erol Ozsever, of Indiana, will be in concert in the Omnova Theater of the Rosenzweig Arts Center Sunday, April 5, at 3 p.m. The artist”s program includes selections by Sylviu Leopold Weiss, Heitor Villa-Lobos and Sergio Assad, among other noted composers.
The cum laude graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Music degree in guitar performance has performed in master classes with a number of world-renowned musicians including Jason Vieaux, Ana Vidovic, Adam Holzman, Adam del Monte and Stanley Yates.
Ozsever is currently an associate instructor at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. Studying under EMI recording artist Ernesto Bitetti, he will complete a Master of Music in August 2009. This week, he is also a featured artist at the Tennessee Guitar Festival.
In 2004, he was selected as a national finalist in the American String Teachers Association solo competition.

The performance, sponsored by Golden Triangle Radiology and the Golden Triangle Guitar Society, follows a free community reception from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the main floor gallery. The event marks the opening of an exhibit of paintings by the late Mary Evelyn Stringer and basket weaving by Mary Jane Everett.
