COLUMBUS —Melba Elaine Tomlinson, 80, died Sept. 27, 2014, at Windsor Place. Graveside services are 11 a.m. Monday at Friendship Cemetery with Charlie Whitney officiating. Visitation is today from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Lowndes Funeral Home. Mrs. Tomlinson was born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida on Mar. 28, 1934, to the late Ernest and Oveda Covington Johnson Hendrickson. She was formerly employed with United Technologies. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Scott Brooks; and one grandson. She is survived by her daughters, Amy Robertson and Dawn Conn of Columbus and Lisa Lowery of Reform, Alabama; son, Mark Tomlinson of Columbus; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
