BILOXI — Ladd Chain finished second individually in the 13- to 14-year-old age group and helped lead Swim Columbus to a seventh-place finish last month at the Mississippi State Short Course Championships.
The Mississippi Makos won the event with 5,506 points. Shockwave Aquatics took second (3,168.5) took second. Swim Columbus had 1,318.5 points.
Chain scored 131 points and finished behind Sam W. Stewart, of the YMCA Hub Fins, who scored 140 points.
Shockwave Aquatics’ Cade Vickers was second individually in the 10-and-under boys age group with 128 points. Teammate Andrew Mullen also was second individually in his age group (15 and over boys).
Shockwave Aquatics features athletes from Oxford, Starkville, and Tupelo.
In girls action, the following Swim Columbus competitors earned top-10 finishes.
