Magnolia Motor Speedway will play host to the Columbus Convention and Visitor’s Bureau Clash at the MAG tonight and Saturday.
The stars and the cars of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) will attempt to tame the “Black Ice” in pursuit of a $20,000-to-win top prize and a purse of more than $85,000. SPEED TV will tape all of the action for a future airing. This will be the only time the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) will appear in the state of Mississippi this year.
Tonight, the LOLMDS will hold time trials and heat race action. In addition, the MSSS Street Stocks will battle in heats races, while the NeSmith Dirt Late Models will battle for $800-to-win/$50-to-start race event that is a weekly point’s race. The drivers’ meeting will be at 7 p.m. Action will start at 8 p.m. Friday.
On Saturday, the LOLMDS Super Late Models will contest b-main action and a 100-lap, main event, which will be taped by SPEED TV for a future broadcast. The MSSS Street Stocks will have a $1,000-to-win/$100-to-start event, while the NeSmith Dirt Late Models will battle for $1,000-to-win/$75-to-start race that is a weekly racing series point’s race. The Mini Stocks will battle in a $300-to-win/$40-to-start event that is a weekly racing series points race. The drivers’ meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Action will start at 7:30 p.m.
In addition, Dirt Racing Outreach will hold a service from 4:30-5:15 p.m. An autograph session will be held from 5:30-6:15 p.m.
Tonight and Saturday night grandstand admission is $25 for adults, $5 for kids 6-10 years old, and free for children 5 and under. Pit admission is $35 each night for adults, $25 for kids 6-10, and free for kids 5 and under. Two-day grandstand adult passes are $45. Two-day adult pit passes are $65. They are $40 for kids 6-10. Three-day adult pit passes are $80 for adults and $50 for kids 6-10. Trackside parking is available for $30. Call 662-386-9191 today to reserve your spot.
