BENTON -- Taylor Baudoin scored a game-high 24 points and had 16 rebounds, five assists, and six steals Tuesday to lead the Immanuel Christian Lady Rams past Tri-County Academy 58-33 in the MAIS Class A North Central State Tournament.
Immanuel (18-12) outscored Tri-County each quarter and led 14-10, 24-12, and 39-24 at the quarter breaks.
Also for the Lady Rams, Bailey Edwards had 15 points, nine rebounds, and three steals, and Abby Good had eight points and seven rebounds.
Megan Heathcock led Tri-County with 14 points.
Immanuel advances to play Benton Academy at 2:15 p.m. Friday.
n Oak Hill Academy 58, Indianola Academy 38 (G): At Leake Academy in Madden, the Lady Raiders pulled away in the second half in the MAIS Class AA North State Tournament.
Oak Hill led 23-21 at halftime before outscoring Indianola Academy 22-8 in the third quarter and 13-9 in the fourth.
Bonnie Riley scored a game-high 23 points and Tori Ellis scored 20 to lead the Lady Raiders to the victory.
Lauren Leard was the high scorer for Indianola Academy with 15 points.
Oak Hill advances to play at 1 p.m. Friday against the winner of today''s game between Hillcrest Christian and Marshall Academy.
n Lamar School 70, Oak Hill Academy 37 (B): At Leake Academy in Madden, the Raiders fell out of contention in the second half and were eliminated from the MAIS Class AA North State Tournament
Oak Hill trailed 18-12 after the first quarter and 32-22 at halftime before being outscored 188-5 in the third period and 20-10 in the fourth.
The only player to score in double figures for Oak Hill was Steven Jones with 14 points. He was followed by Zach Bryan with nine points.
Lamar School was paced by Allen Massengill with 16 points.
n Presbyterian Christian 69, Starkville Academy 32 (B): At Jackson, the Volunteers were ousted from the MAIS Class AAA North State Tournament.
Starkville Academy (1-30) fell behind 21-5 at the end of the first quarter and trailed 28-17 at halftime and 52-22 after the third period.
Patrick Jones had 11 points and J.R. Gerhart added seven for the Volunteers.
Hayden Eustachy, the son of Southern Miss men''s basketball coach Larry Eustachy, was the leading scorer for Presbyterian Christian with a game-high 14 points.
n Jackson Prep 54, Starkville Academy 42 (G): At Jackson, the Lady Volunteers had their season end with a loss in the MAIS Class AAA North State Tournament at Jackson Academy.
Maggie Gladney had 18 points and Mary Allison Barber added eight for Starkville Academy (19-15).
Jackson Prep improved to 17-11.
n Leake Academy 75, Winston Academy 39 (G): At Leake Academy in Madden, the host Lady Rebels took it to Winston Academy right from the start en route to advancing in the MAIS Class AA North State Tournament.
Leake Academy outscored Winston Academy 47-6 in the first quarter and cruised to the win.
Emily Kea led Leake with a game-high 26 points.
Brittany Burton topped Winston Academy with eight points.
