HAMILTON — Hamilton High School is back in the Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) Class 1A state championship series after a 4-2 win over Vardaman Monday night.
That victory allowed the Lady Lions to clinch the best-of-three South State championship series two games to none.
Hamilton will now face Myrtle in another three-game series for the state championship, which will be played at Mississippi State University’s Nusz Park.
The series starts at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
