BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Southeastern Conference released the full 2019 schedules for all of its football teams Tuesday.
Mississippi State’s schedule will feature a non-conference matchup against Kansas State and SEC games against Kentucky, LSU, Alabama, and Ole Miss.
Ole Miss will open the season Aug. 31 at Memphis before playing host to Arkansas in its SEC opener on Sept. 7.
Alabama will kick off its season with a neutral-site game against Duke. It will play seven games at Bryant-Denny Stadium and four SEC road games.
Three of MSU’s first four games of 2019 — Southern Mississippi (Sept. 7), Kansas State (Sept. 14), and Kentucky (Sept. 21) — will be played at Davis Wade Stadium.
MSU will open its 120th season of football against Louisiana-Lafayette on Aug. 31 in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans. It will be MSU’s first regular-season appearance in the dome since defeating Tulane 38-17 on Sept. 8, 2007.
Kansas State will make its first appearance in Starkville since Oct. 5, 1974. Following the SEC home opener versus Kentucky, MSU will play four of its next five games on the road. It will travel to face Auburn on Sept. 28. An open date precedes MSU’s game Oct. 12 in Knoxville, Tennessee, its first since 2008 at Neyland Stadium.
MSU’s lone home game in October will be a SEC West showdown when LSU visits Davis Wade Stadium on Oct. 19. It will be the latest the Bulldogs and Tigers have met in Starkville since Oct. 20, 2001. Back-to-back road games at Texas A&M (Oct. 26) and at Arkansas (Nov. 2) in Fayetteville follow.
The final three regular- season games of the year — Alabama (Nov. 16, Abilene Christian (Nov. 23), and Ole Miss (Nov. 28) — will take place in Starkville.
The 28th edition of the SEC Championship Game will be Saturday, Dec. 7 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
Following its SEC opener against Arkansas, Ole Miss will continue its stretch of three-straight home games against Southeastern Louisiana (Sept. 14) and California (Sept. 21).
Ole Miss will play seven games at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium for the 13th consecutive year since the regular season expanded from 11 games to 12.
Ole Miss will wrap up the month of September with a visit to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, to take on Alabama in a SEC matchup (Sept. 28).
Ole Miss will play host to Vanderbilt on Oct. 5 followed by a trip to Missouri (Oct. 12). It’ll be Ole Miss’ first trip to Columbia, Missouri, since 2006. A home matchup against Texas A&M on Oct. 19 will close the month.
A game at Auburn (Nov. 2) will open the final month of the season before back-to-back home games against New Mexico State (Nov. 9) and LSU (Nov. 16).
Following a second open date of the season (Nov. 23), Ole Miss will travel to Mississippi State on Thanksgiving Night in the annual Battle for the Golden Egg.
Alabama will open the season against Duke on Aug. 31 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. It marks the seventh-consecutive year Alabama has opened the season with a neutral-site game, and the sixth time in the Nick Saban era that the Crimson Tide have opened the season in Atlanta.
In league play, Alabama will play host to Ole Miss, Tennessee, Arkansas, and LSU and travel to South Carolina, Texas A&M, Mississippi State, and Auburn.
Alabama will play host to New Mexico State (Sept. 7), Southern Mississippi (Sept. 21), and Western Carolina (Nov. 23) in non-conference games at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
