MERIDIAN -- Taylor Baudoin had three goals and an assist Thursday to lead the Immanuel Christian girls soccer team to a 6-1 victory against Russell Christian in its season opener.
Meghan Cooper had two goals and Courtney Hall added another.
"We played really well," Immanuel Christian coach Ray Campbell said. "We played (our new system) the 3-2-2-3 the whole game and did really well."
Taylor Kidder played the first half and the first 20 minutes in goal for ICCE. Justine Bell played the final 20 minutes.
ICCE travels to Indianola at 4 p.m. Tuesday and plays host to Manchester at 4 p.m. Thursday in its home opener.
n Oak Hill Academy 6, Hebron Christian 4: At West Point: Anna Lummus had a single, double, and two RBIs Thursday to lead the Lady Raiders (6-5).
Paige Dawkins had a single and two RBIs, and Mamie Allen had a single and earned the victory. She allowed three hits, walked two, one earned run, and struck out nine.
Oak Hill Academy plays host to Carroll Academy at 4 p.m. Tuesday and Central Academy at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
n Winona Christian 12, Central Academy 0: At Winona: Both teams had one hit, but the Lady Vikings (3-7) committed at least four errors, according to coach Sammie Lindsey, and had too many walks.
Meghan Banks'' double was the only hit for Central Academy, which will play host to Calhoun Academy at 5 p.m. Monday.
n Caledonia 3, Corinth 0: At Caledonia, Macy Hicks had five aces and four kills Thursday to help the Lady Confederates improve to 5-1.
Game scores were 25-12, 25-21, 25-20.
Marlana Dolan had three aces and two kills, Ashley Langford had two aces, Elisha Collins had two aces, two kills, and one block, and Blaire Ruth had seven kills.
