STARKVILLE — Mississippi State baseball sophomores Tanner Allen, Justin Foscue and Jordan Westburg will attempt to represent their country this summer after being invited to USA Baseball National Team Training Camp Monday afternoon.
The camp will include four intra-squad exhibition games and a contest against the Coastal Plain League Select between Thursday and Monday in Cary, North Carolina.
A 26-man roster will then be announced ahead of the USA vs. Cuba International Friendship Series taking place July 2-6.
The 26-player roster will next travel to Taiwan for the USA vs. Chinese Taipei International Friendship Series.
Following that, a final 24-man roster will be announced ahead of the 43rd USA vs. Japan Collegiate All-Star Series July 16-21 in Japan.
Nine MSU athletes have been a part of the Collegiate National Team. The most recent participants were Konnor Pilkington (2017) and Adam Frazier (2012).
MSU head coach Chris Lemonis will also join Allen, Foscue and Westburg as a member of the Collegiate National Team task force.
