STARKVILLE — Any hopes of football being played at Mississippi State during the spring semester ended Friday.
The Southeastern Conference announced an updated slate of guidelines to its recent decisions in the wake of the outbreak of COVID-19 — most notably, that all in-person activities, including team and individual practices, will be suspended through at least May 31 according to a news release.
The conference had previously suspended such activities through April 15.
At MSU, the school’s first summer term is slated to begin June 3, while the second term is set to start July 8.
Cancelations aside, the SEC did extend virtual film hour limits from two hours per week to four hours beginning April 6.
