Former Mississippi State men’s basketball players Prince Oduro and Elias King both have found new homes.
After each entered the transfer portal last month, Oduro committed to South Florida, while Elias King will join Middle Tennessee. In a conference call with reporters on March 30, MSU coach Ben Howland said he wasn’t surprised at either’s decision to transfer.
Oduro, who will be on his third team in three seasons next fall, played 21 games but only averaged four minutes per contest last year for the Bulldogs. King spent his freshman season appearing only in mop-up duty, playing in six games and seeing 20 minutes of action all year.
The pair are two of five MSU transfers this offseason, with rising senior KeyShawn Feazell already committing to McNeese State last week. MSU’s other two transfers, Devin Butts and E.J. Datcher, have yet to find new teams.
