The Ladies Craft Club of Elm Lake Community will host their first annual Holiday Bazaar Saturday, Nov. 2, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Elm Lake Golf Course Clubhouse at 1609 Taylor Thurston Road in Columbus.
“We have more than 20 vendors from all over Mississippi and Alabama with a variety of merchandise, all handmade or refashioned, that showcases several different types of arts and crafts for sale,” said club member Patti Moore. Crafts include Christmas decorations, wreaths, quilts, scarves, handmade jewelry, wooden decorative items and paintings, totes, T-shirts, embroidered gifts and more.
“Our club was formed by neighborhood ladies who love crafting,” said Moore of the group that meets the second Tuesday of each month for lunch and crafts. Various crafters demonstrate their art at meetings, with everyone participating in a hands-on class.
“This has been a great way to learn new hobbies, to get to know our neighbors and to revive the art of crafting,” Moore said.
