The Downtown Columbus Spring Open House is set for Friday and Saturday, April 1-2, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day.
Participating Columbus Main Street member businesses will offer refreshments, special discounts, unique promotions and door prize drawings for those who attend.
Open House is a prime opportunity to support local merchants and experience why downtown continues to be a popular destination, said Barbara Bigelow, executive director of Main Street Columbus.
“The downtown spring open house gives customers the opportunity to shop for upcoming special occasions such as Mother’s Day, graduations and other events that might require a special gift,” Bigelow continued. “Main Street Columbus is committed to driving traffic downtown, helping our local establishments prosper and keeping downtown active and attractive.”
Gift, boutique and specialty buys downtown during Open House will include arts and antiques, clothing and furniture, coffees and snacks — even a free yoga class.
Several of this year’s merchants will be competing in a Window Display Contest.
“You won’t want to miss the beautiful spring window decorations,” Bigelow said. “They are sure to lift your spirits as you stroll around beautiful, historic downtown Columbus.
