Fireworks on the Water — Visit Columbus and Columbus Air Force Base present this free Independence Day celebration at the Stennis Lock and Dam East Bank from 5-10 p.m. Children’s activities and inflatables and live entertainment precede a fireworks show choreographed to music. Food and drink vendors will be on site. Bring lawn chairs and blankets.

Plantation Pointe Fireworks — Plantation Pointe Retirement Community in east Columbus presents a fireworks display at dark, weather permitting. Free parking is available on the grounds. Lawn chairs welcome; no glass containers. Plantation Pointe is located just east of Highway 82 East, between Highway 50 and Lehmburg Road.
