August has not yet made an exit, but believe it or not, it’s not too early to make plans for the Columbus Christmas Parade, says Main Street Columbus. The event is set for Monday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m., and organizers encourage potential participants to embrace the 2016 theme, “Merry Christmas, Columbus.”
“This year, we are asking all churches, organizations and groups, large and small, to enter a float to reflect what Christmas in Columbus means to you,” says Barbara Bigelow, MSC executive director. “We want you to use your imagination. Everyone has childhood holiday memories, and we hope to bring those to life.”
For additional details, or for an entry application, contact the MSC office at 662-328-6305 or email [email protected]. Corporate sponsorships are available.
Main Street Columbus will soon release details about all Main Street holiday activities, including the Hitching Lot Holiday Market, Wassail Fest and the official tree lighting.
