Mississippi University for Women’s annual fall celebration, Oktoberfest, will be held Friday, Oct. 14 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Shattuck Lawn on campus. There is no admission charge for the family-friendly event that is open to the public.
Hosted by the Student Programming Board, Oktoberfest is a W tradition that allows students to raise money for their campus organizations by selling treats and hosting a variety of activities such as face painting, hole-in-one and ring toss. Tickets will be sold for 25 cents each.
Other events will include a costume contest for children 12 and under. Registration for the costume contest will be from 5-6 p.m. with the event starting at 6 p.m. Food, fall games and live performances will be a part of the festivities.
