Luke Yarbrough of Lowndes County, a graduating senior at New Hope High School, has been named one of more than 4,000 candidates in the 2017 U.S. Presidential Scholars Program. Inclusion is one of the highest honors bestowed upon high school seniors, selected on the basis of superior academic and artistic achievements, leadership qualities, strong character and involvement in community and school activities.
All scholars are invited to Washington, D.C., in June for the National Recognition Program.
Luke is the son of Sonny and Angel Yarbrough.
