The Starkville Area Arts Council”s Art in Public Places program will feature an exhibit entitled Fall Showcase in the gallery located in the lobby of the Greater Starkville Development Partnership, 200 E. Main St., in Starkville.
“The Fall Showcase is a wonderful opportunity for holiday shoppers to find beautiful artwork at affordable prices of $250 or under,” said Candy Crecink of the SAAC.
“The Walls of the gallery are adorned with the work of 18 area artists,” she added. The public is invited to meet the artists at a reception Nov. 12 from 5-7 p.m.
Those who buy artwork are asked to leave it up through the exhibit”s end.
“However, since some of these purchases are for holiday gifts, we are keeping the date of Dec. 13 open for people to make arrangements to remove the art,” Crecink said. “Art is always an appreciated gift.”
