Writer and PBS television personality Walt Grayson, and Mississippi watercolorist Wyatt Waters, will attend two separate book signings at Book Mart and Cafe at 120 E. Main St. in Starkville Dec. 9 and Dec. 10.
Grayson, the author of two preceding Mississippi photography books, is back with more photos and stories about the Magnolia State. He will be at Book Mart Thursday, Dec. 9, from 1-3 p.m. signing copies of “Oh, That Reminds Me: More Mississippi Homegrown Stories with Walt Grayson.”
The coffee table book takes a personal look inside Mississippians” family albums to reveal, through their personal stories and photographs, the state”s history and culture.
Waters will be at Book Mart Friday, Dec. 10, from 3-5 p.m. to sign copies of “Christmas Memories from Mississippi,” which he illustrated. The book is a collection of Christmas essays from 38 Mississippians including Oprah Winfrey, Will D. Campbell and Richard Ford. Dr. Michael Smith, of Mississippi University for Women, also penned one of the featured essays.
Waters” 2011 watercolor calendar will also be available for purchase.
