Katherine Irene Lancaster and William Davidson Johnson of Nashville, Tenn., were married May 15, 2010, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Columbus, with the Rev. Sandra Moss DePriest and the Rev. Dr. Friedrich Schilling officiating. The bride is the daughter of Judge and Mrs. Robert Lowell Lancaster of Columbus. She is the granddaughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. William Lea Stallworth and Mrs. Otis Glenn Lancaster, and the late Mr. Otis Glenn Lancaster, all of Columbus. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a Vera Wang original ivory gown wrapped in cotton tulle, with a chapel-length train. She wore her mother's veil and carried white roses and Queen Anne's lace, with a handkerchief from her late maternal grandmother. Attending her sister as matron of honor was Lea Alice Lancaster Parker of Washington D.C. Maids of honor were her cousin, Kingslea Elizabeth DeRoode of Huntsville, Ala., and Susannah Hathaway Brown of Shreveport, La. Bridesmaids were Patricia Ann Allen Basso of New York, N.Y.; Sarah Katherine Chaney Montgomery of Birmingham, Ala.; Mary Kathryn Dean of Atlanta, Ga.; Kathryn Louise Ferguson of Atlanta; Susan Swift Hammond of Indianapolis, Ind.; Mary Katherine Jones Joseph of Houston, Texas; Whitney Kathryn Poole of Birmingham; Shelly Renee Rahe of New York; and Sarah Heathman Rowell of Savannah, Ga. Attendants wore Jenny Yoo original bay green silk shantung dresses and carried bouquets of white roses, peach stock and Queen Anne's lace. Emma Kate Lancaster of Hendersonville, Tenn., cousin of the bride, served as flower girl. Knox George Parker of Washington D.C., served as ring bearer. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ewing Matherly Johnson Jr. of Knoxville, Tenn. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ewing Matherly Johnson Sr. of Memphis, Tenn., and Mrs. John Morrow Watson Jr. of Brentwood, Tenn., and the late Mr. John Morrow Watson Jr. of Clarksdale, Tenn. Ewing Matherly Johnson Jr., father of the groom, and John Matherly Johnson, brother of the groom, both of Knoxville, served as best men. Groomsmen were William Travis Arnette of Charleston, S.C., Daniel Robert Cohen of New York; Dr. Richard Jeptha Lancaster, brother of the bride, of New Orleans; Daniel Edward Lee of Atlanta; and Joseph Pryor Browning, Dixon Hart Greenwood, Andrew Lewis Hilmer, Dr. Bennett Martin Kizer, Thomas Traver Madden and Hunter Andrew Rigsby, all of Knoxville. Following a honeymoon to Rome, Cinque Terre and Florence, Italy, the couple reside at their home in Nashville, Tenn. The groom is nursery manager for John Deere Landscapes in Gallatin, Tenn., and the bride is the assistant food buyer with Dollar General Corporate in Goodlettsville, Tenn.
