Brittney Lane Hollis and Andrew Michal Gilpin of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, were married Jan. 17, 2015, at 3:30 p.m. at The Grand Hotel in Point Clear, Alabama, with Tommy Holley officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Peeler Hollis of Columbus. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dexter Bee Graham, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Peeler Hollis Sr. She was given in marriage by her father. She wore a custom A-line gown of ivory lace with Queen Ann cap sleeves and buttons down the chapel-length train. She wore a chapel-length veil and carried a bouquet of ivory and pink roses and hydrangeas wrapped in a handkerchief given by her cousin. Shannon Hollis Willcutt of Columbus, sister of the bride, and Julia Graham Starrett of Hattiesburg, cousin of the bride, served as matrons of honor. Bridesmaids were Ellen Gilpin Bradley of Cape Town, South Africa, sister of the groom; Leslie Winters Hollis of Columbus, sister-in-law of the bride; Michelle Gilpin Maxey of Bentonville, Arkansas, sister of the groom; and Macy Reid Willcutt of Columbus, niece of the bride. Flower girls were Lucy Lane Willcutt and Ruby June Willcutt, both of Columbus, nieces of the bride; and Ella Kate Bradley and Mary Ashley Bradley, both of Cape Town, nieces of the groom. Attendants wore navy floor-length gowns with different necklines. Flower girls wore white dresses made by the bride’s mother and adorned with crochet at the bottom made by her late grandmother. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael David Gilpin of Hattiesburg. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Alson Knight, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Rayburn Haley Gilpin. The groom’s father served as best man. Groomsmen were Ashley Blaine Bradley of Cape Town, brother-in-law of the groom; Carson David Hollis, nephew of the bride, and David Brent Hollis, brother of the bride, both of Columbus; Brian Christopher Maxey of Bentonville, brother-in-law of the groom; and Harold Jason Willcutt of Columbus, brother-in-law of the bride. Cade Bryant Hollis of Columbus, nephew of the bride, served as ring bearer. Following a wedding trip to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, the couple resides in Tuscaloosa, where the bride is vice president of marketing and leasing with Capstone Collegiate Communities, and the groom is an environmental ranger with the Westervelt Company.
